Event Description:
High Bridge Trail State Park commemorates Memorial Day with a Fallen General Walk on Monday, May 27th at 2:00 pm. The walk, led by Education Specialist, Bob Flippen, will highlight the life and demise of General Thomas Alfred Smyth, the last Union General officer to die in the American Civil War. The walk will start at the Osborne Road access parking lot and progress to the area where Smyth was mortally wounded. Total walk length is 2 miles. Please remember to bring drinking water as there is none available on the trail.  For more information, contact the park office.
